Tiga Abdul is a 1964 Malaysian comedy set in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Isketambola, loosely inspired by Istanbul. It follows three brothers who fall under the influence of the scheming Sadiq Segaraga. Using his three daughters as bait, Sadiq works to separate the brothers from their fortune, drawing on a tradition of folk storytelling with a moral at its centre. The film was directed by P. Ramlee, who also plays the lead role of Abdul Wahub. Haji Mahadi and S. Kadarisman appear as Abdul Wahab and Abdul Wahib, while Mariani, Dayang Sofia and Sarimah Ahmad play Hamidah, Rafidah and Ghasidah. It was produced by Malay Film Productions Ltd. and runs for two hours.
Tiga Abdul sits between two other features P. Ramlee directed: Semerah Padi, from 1956, and Keluarga 69, from 1967. The film remains well regarded by audiences, holding a rating of 8 out of 10 on IMDb from 169 votes, a high score for a title of its age and modest vote count.
