Short description
A straight-laced bank manager is about to marry the love of his life. When his bank is held up by infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws who just arrived in town, are the infamous Out-Laws.
What's left behind the scenes
- Screenwriters Ben Zoz and Evan Turner pitched the idea for the film to Adam Devine back in 2016. He jotted down the essence of it in a notebook, then tucked it away somewhere and completely forgot about it for several years. Later, he found the notebook, read what he had written, decided the idea was actually quite good, and immediately contacted the screenwriters, fearing deep down that the idea had already "passed." Fortunately, his fears were unfounded.
- The character Adam Divine uses the phrase “she left me roses on the stairs” as a password. This is a line from the song “All The Small Things” (2000) by the American punk band “Blink-182”.
- The idea to dress his character as Shrek in the robbery scene belonged to Adam Devine himself. When it turned out that the Shrek makeup had to start at 5 a.m. (and filming lasted for several weeks), he deeply regretted it.
