The Twits

Two brave children join forces with a family of magical animals when a pair of unpleasant villains scheme to seize control of their town. The animated family comedy follows the young heroes and their animal allies as they try to stop the villains and restore their community.

The Twits is an adaptation directed by Phil Johnston, who also wrote the screenplay with Meg Favreau and produced alongside Maggie Malone and Daisy May West. It is the second feature Johnston has directed, following Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018. The voice cast includes Margo Martindale and Johnny Vegas as the villainous Twits, with Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ryan Anderson Lopez, Emilia Clarke and Natalie Portman also among the 29 credited cast members. The film runs 99 minutes and was made by Netflix Animation, The Roald Dahl Story Company and Jellyfish Pictures, with production based in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Released in October 2025, the film has drawn modest audience scores: 4.7 out of 10 on IMDb from around 4,100 votes, and 5.9 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 122 votes. The larger IMDb sample points to a generally unfavorable reception, while the higher TMDB figure comes from far fewer viewers.
