Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God

The sorcerer Damodar seeks to conquer the kingdom of Izmir by stealing a powerful black sphere. Using this artifact, he aims to lead an army of monsters and wake a sleeping black dragon to destroy his enemies. To stop this destruction, a warrior named Berek and a magic-user named Melora assemble a group of four companions who embody strength, honor, intelligence, and wisdom. Together, they must face supernatural threats and recover the sphere before Damodar can achieve absolute power.

This 2005 fantasy action adventure was directed by Gerry Lively, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Robert Kimmel and Brian Rudnick. It is the first of three films directed by Lively, followed by Finish Line and Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness. The movie features Bruce Payne as Damodar, Mark Dymond as Berek, and Clemency Burton-Hill as Melora, with a credited cast of 20 actors.

Produced as a joint effort between Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the film had a budget of 15 million USD but earned only 2 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audiences provided mixed to negative feedback, with the film receiving a 4.6/10 rating on IMDb from 6,500 votes and a 4.7/10 rating on TMDB from 146 votes.
