Red, White & Royal Blue

Alex Claremont-Diaz is the son of the American president, and Prince Henry is his British counterpart. The two young men have long disliked each other, and when a confrontation between them at a royal event ends up in the tabloids, the fallout threatens to strain relations between their countries. To contain the damage, their handlers arrange a staged reconciliation that puts the pair side by side at public appearances. What begins as a performance gradually changes as the two grow closer than either expected.

The film is an adaptation of a bestselling novel and was directed by Matthew López, who also wrote the screenplay, with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter producing. Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine play the leads, and the supporting cast includes Uma Thurman as the president, Clifton Collins Jr., Rachel Hilson and Sarah Shahi. Made for about 20 million dollars, it runs just under two hours.

On IMDb it holds a 7 out of 10 from roughly 64,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.9 from a much smaller base of around 1,600. A critics' score of 6.4 from 122 reviews places it below both audience measures, so viewers have responded more warmly than reviewers did.
