Murder at 1600

When a young woman is found stabbed to death in a bathroom of the White House, Washington homicide detective Harlan Regis is assigned the case. The death lands while the president is weighing how to respond to a hostage crisis involving Americans held in North Korea, and the timing makes the investigation politically sensitive. Secret Service personnel obstruct Regis at every turn, planting false leads and withholding access. Agent Nina Chance, who knows the service from inside, chooses to help him, and together with Regis's police partner they push past the official stonewalling. What begins as a murder inquiry points toward a wider cover-up, and the detectives themselves come under suspicion as they try to identify who is responsible.
