Tin & Tina

Set in Spain in the early 1980s, Tin & Tina follows Lola and her husband Adolfo, who lose their unborn child and learn that Lola cannot bear another. Reeling from the loss, the couple decide to adopt and meet Tin and Tina, albino twins raised in a convent by nuns. Charmed by the children's impeccable manners, Lola is drawn to them in a way Adolfo does not share. Once the twins move in, their ultra-Catholic upbringing leads them to take the Bible literally, and their games turn increasingly macabre. Lola slides into suspicion and obsession as the household's quiet life gives way to bizarre incidents.

Rubin Stein wrote and directed this Spanish-American horror mystery, produced by Olmo Figueredo. Milena Smit and Jaime Lorente lead as Lola and Adolfo, with Carlos González Morollón and Anastasia Russo as the twins, and Teresa Rabal and Ruth Gabriel among the supporting cast.

Released in March 2023 and running 119 minutes, the film has drawn markedly different responses from its two main audiences. On IMDb it holds a below-average 4.7 from around 9,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from roughly 474 votes. The smaller, warmer TMDB sample suggests a genre audience more receptive than the broader IMDb crowd.
