In the Fire

Set in the 1890s, this film follows Grace Burnham, a doctor from New York who travels to a remote plantation to treat a disturbed young boy. While the physician attempts to apply scientific methods to help the child, who exhibits inexplicable abilities, the local priest and villagers believe he is possessed by the devil. This clash of perspectives creates a conflict between science and religion as the community blames the boy for their misfortunes.
