The Killer

Zee works as a contract killer in Paris, where she carries out jobs for a gangster named Finn and is known in criminal circles as the Queen of the Dead. When an assignment involves a nightclub hit on members of a rival cartel from Marseille, a singer named Jenn is caught up in the violence and loses her sight. Zee is expected to eliminate witnesses, but she spares the blind woman instead, breaking the rules of her trade. That decision turns her into a target, with fellow killers and a police inspector named Sey both pursuing her.

The film is John Woo's twenty-second directorial credit, following Silent Night in 2023, and was written by Josh Campbell, Brian Helgeland and Matthew Stuecken. Nathalie Emmanuel plays Zee, with Omar Sy as Sey, Sam Worthington as Finn and Diana Silvers as Jenn. It is a Canadian-American production made for about 30 million dollars, with a credited cast of 75 and a crew of 118.

Audience response has been mixed. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.7 from roughly 17,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from around 621 votes.
