Collision

Collision is a South African crime drama set over a single day in Johannesburg. A corrupt businessman and his high-society wife must race against time to rescue their daughter from a feared crime boss, after she becomes involved with a small-time drug dealer. The story follows the couple as they try to reach her before it is too late.

The film is directed by Fabien Martorell, who also wrote the screenplay with Sean Cameron Michael and William Gillin, and produced it with Siphosethu Tshapu. It stars Langley Kirkwood as Johan Greser, Tessa Jubber as Diane Greser and Zoey Sneedon as Nicki Greser, alongside Bonko Khoza, Mpho Sebeng and Vuyo Dabula. Released in June 2022, it runs 99 minutes.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.2 from around 1,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.8 from roughly 136 votes. The gap between the two suggests a limited but somewhat more favourable reception among the smaller TMDB group.
