Short description
Sylvia is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life. This is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.
What's left behind the scenes
- Jessica Chastain, who played Sylvia, recommended Peter Sarsgaard for the role of Sol.
- The film originated from a simple idea of director, screenwriter, and producer Michel Franco about a man following a woman down the street. At that moment, Franco had no idea who they were or why one was following the other. He initially thought revenge was a motive, but after discussing it with his sister, he decided to change it.
- Almost the entire film was shot on location in New York, with the exception of Sylvia's apartment, which was constructed in an art gallery.
