What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming took place in Canada, in the suburbs of Toronto, and lasted approximately 6 weeks – from October 25 to December 6, 1999.
  • The idea for this film came to director John Fawcett a long time ago, and the first steps towards its realization were taken in January 1995, when he met with screenwriter Karen Walton. The film could have been released as early as 1998, but funding problems and organizational difficulties pushed back the release date by another two years.
  • Brigitte's hair is actually a wig, which we can see in the film's finale. The wig slips over her eyes as Brigitte runs down the stairs looking for Sam.
