Polaris

Set in a frozen wasteland in the year 2144, this film follows a human girl named Sumi who was raised by a polar bear. After escaping a group of violent warriors known as the Morads, Sumi travels across a dangerous winter landscape. Along her journey, she rescues a frozen stranger, and the two form a bond as they flee their pursuers while guided by the star Polaris.

Kirsten Carthew wrote and directed the movie, which was produced in Canada by Les Productions Megafun, Little Dipper Films, and Alyson Richards Productions. The cast features Viva Lee as Sumi and Khamisa Wilsher as the Frozen Girl, supported by Muriel Dutil, Kara Wooten, Dinah Gaston, and Charlene Francique. In total, 20 actors are credited in the production.
