The Loneliest Boy in the World

The Loneliest Boy in the World is a horror comedy about Oliver, a socially isolated youth struggling with the loss of his mother. In an attempt to find companionship and avoid the intervention of social workers, he resorts to digging up corpses from a cemetery. When these figures mysteriously return to life, Oliver must manage his new undead friends while hiding their existence from his classmates and neighbors. One of these companions, a former popular youth named Mitch, attempts to help Oliver gain self-confidence and romantic success.

Directed by Martin Owen, this 2022 production followed his previous films Killers Anonymous and Twist, and preceded Above the Below. The screenplay was written by Piers Ashworth. The movie stars Max Harwood as Oliver and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Mitch, with a supporting cast that includes Susan Wokoma, Evan Ross, Tallulah Haddon, and Hammed Animashaun. In total, 31 actors are credited in the film.
