A pawn shop robbery goes wrong, and two criminals flee the scene with a hostage, hoping to wait out the manhunt at an isolated farmhouse. What they find there turns out to be far more dangerous than the police pursuing them. The film is a crime thriller with horror elements, directed by Ryûhei Kitamura from a screenplay by Christopher Jolley.
Emile Hirsch plays Adam and Stephen Dorff plays Cody, with Gigi Zumbado as Grace, Tyler Sanders as Danny, Erika Ervin as Jodi and Jesse Kinser as John. The film runs 85 minutes and was produced by Andre Relis, Robert Dean and Stephanie Denton, with Buffalo 8, 828 Productions, 828 Media Capital and VMI Worldwide among the production companies. It is the twelfth of thirteen films Kitamura has directed in chronological order, arriving after The Doorman and before Labyrinth.
Released in January 2023, the film drew limited enthusiasm. Its critics' rating sits at 5 out of 10 across fifteen reviews, while audiences are similarly muted: 4.9 out of 10 on IMDb from around 4,800 votes, and 5.8 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 189 votes. The pattern suggests a modest genre entry that found a wider audience on home viewing than it did with reviewers.
