You're Cordially Invited
Short description
Two weddings are booked for the same day at the same island resort, and neither party is willing to give up the venue. Margot, who is organising her sister's wedding, and Jim, the father of another bride, end up sharing the property, and their attempts to protect their own celebrations set the two groups against each other.
Nicholas Stoller directed and wrote the film, and produced it with Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum. It is the eighth feature he has directed, following Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, The Five-Year Engagement, Neighbors, Storks, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Bros and Animals United 2: The Chilldown. Ferrell plays Jim and Reese Witherspoon plays Margot, with Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro and Stony Blyden among the supporting cast. The production involved 58 credited cast members and 46 credited crew.
Released in January 2025 by Amazon MGM Studios with Gloria Sanchez Productions, Hello Sunshine and Big Indie Pictures, the comedy runs 109 minutes. It drew a critics' rating of 5.4 out of 10 from 104 reviews. On IMDb it holds 5.5 out of 10 from around 30,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.8 out of 10 from 481 votes, so audiences and critics landed in much the same range.
