Halil Can Akbulut (1996, Turkey) studied cinema at the cinema department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He is the founder of belkisinema which was founded with the idea of new searches for cinema. His debut feature film Shadows of Mud completed in 2021. Shadows of Mud had the opportunity to be screened at many international festivals. His second feature film, August Dreams, made in 2024, had its world premiere on the Italian island of Ischia and its Turkish premiere as part of the National Feature Film Competition at the 12th Bosphorus Film Festival. He is currently continuing his master’s degree in cinema.
