George Tyler Straughter - Writer, Director, Cinematography known for his work in such projectsAdvice for working with the Map of emotions: «Reflective» (2024),
George Tyler Straughter is a multi-talented artist, with skills in directing, writing, producing, and acting. He is also the co-founder of GeLia Production Company, located in Hollywood, California. Born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Lemmie and Linda Straughter, George's love for film came from his parents' constantly exposing him to television and cinema. In high school, he discovered his passion for acting by participating in various productions such as "Li'l Abner" (1993) and "The Music Man" (1994). However, during his junior year, he also felt called to pursue a career in Christian ministry. He incorporated his love for entertainment into his ministry by using elaborate illustrations and theatrics to convey his message. In 2005, he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the stage play & DVD "Pimpin' Ain't Easy (2005)," which was well-received locally and sold out at conferences where Straughter made appearances. Unfortunately, he was advised by a mentor that pursuing this line of entertainment could hinder his elevation in the ministry. As a result, he put his passion for secular writing and directing on hold for almost 20 years before returning to it later on.© ACMODASI, 2010-2025
