What's left behind the scenes
- Like the computer game, the series looks like a 1930s cartoon; this effect is achieved through artificially added image grain.
- The animated intro at the beginning of each episode, in which Cuphead's head is a planet orbited by Mugman, is a reference to the former Universal Studios intro.
