What's left behind the scenes

  • “Vanitas” (from the Latin “vanitas,” meaning vanity, futility, or transience) is a genre of Baroque painting, typically a still life or other composition. It symbolizes the fleeting nature of life, contrasting symbols of wealth and prosperity with symbols of death.
