What's left behind the scenes

The main character (played by actress Callie Hope Haverda) is named Leia Forman. It is known that she was named after Princess Leia from "Star Wars," of which her father, Eric Forman, is a huge fan.
In one of her final interviews, Tanya Roberts (1949–2021)—who played Donna's mother in the original series—stated that she would have gladly appeared in a sequel if one were produced and she were invited. Unfortunately, the actress passed away in January 2021, eight months before plans to begin work on a sequel were announced.
