What's left behind the scenes
- In the season one finale, Mick (Jon Voight) sits in the Donovan brothers' gym while waiting for Ray (Liev Schreiber). A poster for one of the fights of famous Russian professional boxer and Olympic champion Alexander Povetkin is clearly visible above the sofa.
- In February 2020, the Showtime network unexpectedly ended the series after the final episode of Season 7, leaving several plotlines unresolved, despite a network representative having previously mentioned a Season 8. In 2021, it was announced that a film was in production, serving as a direct sequel to Season 7 and providing a logical conclusion to the series' story.
