Short description
A behind-the-scenes look at the people who make a nightly cable-news program. Focusing on a network anchor, his new executive producer, the newsroom staff and their boss, the series tracks their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles-not to mention their own personal entanglements.

What's left behind the scenes
- The appearance and lobby of the ACN company are borrowed from the Bank of America Tower opposite Bryant Park in Manhattan, New York (near the HBO headquarters). This skyscraper is located on Sixth Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets. In some scenes, Bryant Park can even be seen.
- In Season 3, in connection with the deaths of 38 people, a fictional African country called Equatorial Kundu is mentioned. This same country is mentioned in Aaron Sorkin's series 'The West Wing' (1999-2006).
- The ACN news channel is fictional, but many of the events reported in its broadcasts occurred in real life.
- Sloane Sabbith, played by Olivia Munn, is quite proficient in Japanese. The actress herself speaks Japanese well, as she grew up in Tokyo and studied Japanese theatrical arts as a second major in college.
