What's left behind the scenes
- Initially, Shelby Young was cast in the role of Stephanie. A pilot episode was filmed with her participation (though it never aired), but it later turned out that the actress could not play the character in the series itself due to union restrictions.
- Famous paintings often appear in the background, such as Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring," Paul Delaroche's portrait of Napoleon at Fontainebleau, and others.
- Initially, experienced acrobat Magnus Sheving performed all of Sportacus's jumps and flips himself. However, in the summer of 2007, he suffered an injury, prompting Nickelodeon management to step in and insist on hiring a professional stunt double. Sheving tried to explain that the injury was minor, that he would be fine in a couple of days, and that he wanted to perform the stunts himself; but, as he later mentioned in an interview, "they controlled the finances," so he had to give in.
