Miniseries On the surface, Jerusalem's Lot appears to be a picture-perfect small town, right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. But there is something evil festering in this Maine hamlet, and it seems to be emanating from the ominous Marsten House. Ben Mears returns to Salem's Lot to wrestle with the demons…

What's left behind the scenes
- The film was shot in Australia, in the cities of Creswick, Melbourne, Miranda, and Woodend in the state of Victoria.
- According to Rob Lowe, who played the lead role, during the filming of the final confrontation with Kurt Barlow, Rutger Hauer, who played the part, began to improvise completely off-script while remaining in character. Director Mikael Salomon was not impressed at all; he shouted, "Stop!" and demanded an explanation from Hauer. After the dispute with the director, Hauer agreed to stick to the script, but as a matter of principle, refused to memorize his long (two-page) speech and read it from cue cards.
- About 300 extras took part in the filming of the crowd scenes.
