What's left behind the scenes
- The series was filmed on the same sets (with minor changes) that Joe Dante used in 1989 to film the comedy of the same name.
- Wendy Schaal, who played the wife of Bruce Dern's character in the Joe Dante film, appeared in the pilot episode of this project as Judy from the city library.
