Short description
In this modern world, air travel represents the height of luxury and Pan Am is the biggest name in the business. The planes are glamorous, the pilots are rock stars and the stewardesses are the most desirable women in the world. They're trained to handle everything from in-air emergencies to unwanted advances—all without rumpling their pristine uniforms or mussing their hair.

What's left behind the scenes
- All subway scenes were filmed at a former New York City subway station in Brooklyn. The scenes inside the train were filmed in car No. 8013 of the R-11 series.
- Despite the characters flying to various parts of the planet in the plot, almost all filming took place in New York, specifically in Brooklyn. For example, scenes in a London hotel were filmed on Long Island, and scenes in Italy were filmed in Manhattan.
- Christina Ricci's short stature did not meet the requirements the airline had for flight attendants at the time. Because of this, the actress had to wear high heels, while her co-stars wore low heels.
