What's left behind the scenes
- Actor Orson Bean, who played one of the main supporting characters—shopkeeper Loren Bray—met his future wife on set, actress Ellie Mills, who played Michaela's older sister, Marjorie Quinn. In the plot, Loren and Marjorie have a romance, but Marjorie dies fairly quickly. In reality, they are married to this day. There is an age difference of over 20 years between them.
