What's left behind the scenes
- The names of all the main characters in the animated series are 'speaking' names. Ryder (from the English 'ride' or 'drive') manages everything and everyone. Chase (meaning 'to pursue') is a police dog. Zuma is a rescue dog, named after Zuma Beach in California. Skye (a modified spelling of the word 'sky') is a pilot.
- At one time, there were plans to add two more puppies to PAW Patrol (named Tundra and Rossi), but those plans were never realized.
