What's left behind the scenes
- Lee Pace's performance as Joseph McMillan was influenced by the personalities of Steve Jobs (entrepreneur and IT pioneer), Patrick Bateman (the fictional character from Bret Easton Ellis's novel 'American Psycho'), and Don Draper (the protagonist of the TV series 'Mad Men', whose image was based on an executive at the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency).
- Filming for the first two seasons took place in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bank of America Plaza—the tallest building in the city, state, and the American South since 1992, and the 11th tallest in the US—serves as the headquarters of Westgroup Energy.
- Scott Mcinery spoke specifically with computer scientists to learn about their personal and professional quirks, later using some of the information gathered to shape the character of Gordon Clark.
