What's left behind the scenes
- Jacqueline Voorhies' dog, played by Jane Krakowski, is the same one her character owned in Tina Fey's previous project, '30 Rock' (2006-2013).
- Series creator and executive producer Tina Fey wrote the role of Jacqueline specifically for actress and singer Jane Krakowski. This character does not appear in the original version of the pilot episode; the scenes featuring her were written, filmed, and edited after the pilot had been completed.
- The role of Titus, who dreams of Broadway, is played by Titus Burgess. In reality, Burgess has worked in Broadway productions.
- Jacqueline's stepdaughter is named Xanthippe—a tribute to the Greek roots of the series creator, Tina Fey.
