What's left behind the scenes
- Due to creative differences with the show's writers, Eddie Huang reduced his involvement in the project after the first season. In particular, he disliked that Louis was portrayed on screen in a more favorable light than he was presented in his autobiography.
- In several episodes, the Huang family is shown flying out of Orlando International Airport. In reality, the airport shown on screen is the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
- The series tells the story of restaurateur, chef, and former lawyer Eddie Huang. Huang himself provides the narration for the first season.
