What's left behind the scenes
- Carrie Fisher's (1956-2016) character has a dog. For the filming, they chose a dog that actually belongs to the actress.
- Carrie Fisher's final television role. The actress passed away a week after completing work on the third season.
- Some scenes and episodes of the series are drawn from the lives of actors Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney. Horgan herself rushed into marriage with the man who had gotten her pregnant six months prior.
- Rob Delaney is receiving treatment for alcoholism. The idea to make his character an alcoholic belonged to Sharon Horgan. The actress suggested it without knowing that her co-star suffered from this problem.
