Short description
Remake of the hit 1960s television show. In the 21st century, Jeff Tracy, a former astronaut, amasses a colossal fortune and decides that he must use it to benefit others. His answer to this desire is to create International Rescue, a unique private emergency response service equipped with customized designed vehicles and equipment that enable the organization to react to any crisis whether it be in sea, air, land, or space. Jeff's five sons volunteer to operate as the pilots and field agents, as well "Brain" who acts as the teams engineer. In addition, Jeff's friend, Kyrano and his daughter Tanusha aka Kayo (based on the original series Tin-Tin character) agree to be the support staff. In addition to the field team, IR also maintains an intelligence network with Lady Penelope and her ex-con chauffeur, Parker as the chief agents in this arm.

What's left behind the scenes
- The only items on the Tracy brothers' island that were not handmade are the chairs.
- The model of the Tracy brothers' island features 3,000 trees.
- The color of the water around the island is due to 10 liters of food coloring.
- 200 variations of 3D environments were created for the animated series.
- The countdown "5-4-3-2-1, Thunderbirds, go!" is spoken by the voice of Peter Dineli (1921-1977), who voiced Jeff in the original 1965-1966 animated series.
- During the closing credits of each episode, the viewer sees a drawing of the living room in the building on the Tracy brothers' island, with portraits of the brothers from the original animated series hanging on the walls.
- The production of a single episode required the labor of 110 people. At the New Zealand studio Purkeko Pictures, 12 people work with the puppets, 9 film the process, and another 65 people make up the production staff.
