Short description
Between is the story of a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21 years old and under. The series explores the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves.

What's left behind the scenes
- Jennette McCurdy's character's child in the series was a real baby. According to the actress, working with an infant on set was not easy and was quite nerve-wracking.
- During the filming of a scene with a tiger in one of the first season's episodes, the trainer accidentally let go of the leash, and the predator was set free. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
- Before the start of filming for the second season, Jessie Carriere (who played Adam) shaved his head.
- The exterior shots of the federal prison were actually filmed at a water treatment plant in Toronto. This building has served as a prison in more than 15 movies and series.
- The series was filmed in October and November in Ontario. According to the filmmakers, this time of year is dark and gray outdoors, which matched the overall atmosphere of the narrative.
- A week before filming for the second season began, Jack Murray (who played Mark) broke his leg, so his limp on screen was not an act at all.
