What's left behind the scenes
- At the end of the miniseries, a romance for violin and orchestra by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958) is heard, written to George Meredith's (1828-1909) poem 'The Skylark'.
- Music from the 1950s—the decade in which Arthur C. Clarke's eponymous novel was published—plays from the radio in the Stormgrens' house.
