What's left behind the scenes
- In the first episode, the protagonist turns off the television, which is broadcasting the animated film 'How to Train Your Dragon' (2010) by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois.
- The gnome whom Toby allows to live in the dollhouse is named Chompsky, after the famous American linguist Avram Noam Chomsky.
- The second series based on books by Guillermo del Toro after the series 'The Strain' (2014).
- The final role of Anton Yelchin. The actor tragically passed away on June 19, 2016, a few days after finishing the voice-over for his character's lines. The creator of the animated series, Guillermo del Toro, flatly refused to replace the actor.
