What's left behind the scenes
- The idea for the series came to its creator, Pedro Aguilera, in 2009, shortly after he read the dystopias 'Brave New World' (1931) by Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) and '1984' (1949) by George Orwell (1903-1950) while studying in college.
- The scenes in the building with huge marble halls and platforms were organized inside the Arena Corinthians (more commonly known as the Itaquera)—a football stadium in São Paulo, Brazil, built for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
- The population of Brazil accounts for about 3% of the total global population.
- Bianca Compratu was one of the first to join the film's cast. In an effort to give herself a "tougher" look, she began taking wrestling classes and continued doing so even after filming ended.
