What's left behind the scenes
- The role of Joe, played by Miles Peterman, was initially offered to actor and singer Gustavo Gulart. He really wanted to play the part, but was forced to decline because the filming dates overlapped with another project.
- During the filming of the first season, crew members and actors feared attacks from bears and cougars, occasionally glancing up at the treetops to make sure none were there.
- Filming took place in Calgary, High River, Dorothy, and Bragg Creek in the Canadian province of Alberta.
