What's left behind the scenes
- Ali Soufan, played by Tahar Rahim, and the partner of John O'Neill, played by Jeff Daniels, approached Daniels at the series premiere in New York and thanked him for his accurate onscreen portrayal of O'Neill. Soufan even offered his honorary badge to Daniels as a gift. This gesture deeply touched the actor.
- The plot is based on the book "The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11" (2006) by author, journalist, and screenwriter Lawrence Wright.
- In the final episode in Yemen, the protagonist is driven to the airport in a third-generation Chevrolet Tahoe with a 2007 body style, despite the events taking place in 2001.
