What's left behind the scenes
- An adaptation of the book by journalist Martha Raddatz.
- The miniseries was filmed at Fort Hood, Texas, home to one of the US Army's primary military bases. Scenes set in Iraq were also filmed there, at a training range used for urban combat exercises.
