What's left behind the scenes
- The animated series is based on the characters of the comic of the same name, "Hildafolk," by Luke Pearson.
- The title of the original comic comes from the Icelandic Huldufólk, where huldu means "hidden, secret" and fólk means "people," referring to the elves in Icelandic mythology.
