Short description
Middle school as it really happened. Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle star in this adult comedy, playing versions of themselves as thirteen-year-old outcasts in the year 2000, surrounded by actual thirteen-year-olds, where the best day of your life can turn into your worst with the stroke of a gel pen.
Seasons
What's left behind the scenes
- Maya's mother is played by Mutsuo Erskine, the mother of actress and co-creator of the series, Maya Erskine.
- In the 4th episode, the "Ave Maria" is performed by Anna Konkle herself.
- Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle were both 31 years old during filming, while playing 13-year-old teenagers. Their classmates were actually played by 13-year-old teenagers. This created some difficulties when filming R-rated scenes, and in some cases, body doubles had to be used.
