What's left behind the scenes
- The film company 20th Century Fox announced the future project back in the early 1990s, when it was envisioned as a feature film by Ridley Scott starring Robert Redford and Jodie Foster. The project was shut down due to script problems and the release of Wolfgang Petersen's thriller 'Outbreak' (1995). In 2019, Scott became an executive producer for six episodes of the series 'The Hot Zone' (2019–2021).
