What's left behind the scenes
- Rex continues to steal food not intended for him—much like the dog in the Austro-Italian series 'Kommissar Rex'.
- The dog who played Rex was named Diesel von Bürghimwald; he passed away in August 2024 during the filming of the 7th season, which led to a hiatus in production. The role of Rex was taken over by the deceased dog's relatives (nephews)—Dillon and Dante.
- In the second season, Sarah (played by Maiko Nguyen) was rarely shown in full-length shots alongside other characters. This was because the actress was pregnant, and the show's creators used various tricks to hide this from the viewers (Sarah was filmed sitting down, or angles were chosen so that her stomach was not visible).
- The police headquarters was actually filmed on a university campus. Before filming began, students and staff were sent SMS messages notifying them of the police presence on campus and stating there was no cause for concern.
