What's left behind the scenes

Wyatt Russell mentioned that he initially auditioned for the role of Captain America in Joe Johnston's sci-fi action movie 'The First Avenger,' and that these were his first-ever screen tests. The role went to Chris Evans, but Russell ended up playing Captain America in this project.
Baron Zemo appears 'in full regalia' and in his famous purple mask for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His costume is based on the character's modern outfit, including the black cloak. In this series, however, the black cloak has a white fur collar with black spots, as seen in the original comics.
The screenwriters considered giving Sam the ability to communicate telepathically with birds, as in the comics, but they couldn't figure out how to show it convincingly on screen and eventually abandoned the idea. Nevertheless, Malcolm Spellman expressed a desire to try and bring this idea to the screen again in the fourth Captain America film.
