What's left behind the scenes
- The series features authentic World War II weapons, not replicas. For the filming in Morocco, the weapons were brought from the UK, where they were part of a vintage weapons collector's collection. In accordance with local law, all weapons were deactivated; nevertheless, when not in use during filming, they were locked away and placed under police guard.
- Fewer than 70 World War II-era Messerschmitt 109 fighters survive today; six of them were used in the filming of the series.
- Fifty stunt performers worked on the series under the direction of Neil Finnigan, a former Royal Marines parachute instructor.
