What's left behind the scenes
- In the pilot episode, which was never aired, the role of Kate was played by Mika Abdallah, who was later replaced by Olivia Holt.
- Eloise Paye was initially cast as Isabella, but following a joint table read of the script, she was replaced by Alexandra Underwood.
- In the second episode of Season 1, Kate eats pineapples with milk, which is a reference to a high-profile 1966 murder case involving a young girl who participated in child beauty pageants. During the autopsy, undigested pineapples in milk were found in the victim's stomach.
