100 Girls

A college freshman named Matthew gets stuck in an elevator during a power outage and spends the night with a young woman he cannot see. By morning the electricity is back and she is gone, leaving him with no name and no face to go on. The only thing he knows is that she lives in the all-girls residence hall, which places her among a hundred students. With help from his roommate Rod, Matthew sets out to work through the possibilities, among them Wendy, Dora, Arlene, Patty and Cynthia, hoping to identify the woman he has fallen for.

Michael Davis wrote and directed this 2000 American comedy, his first feature as director, followed by 100 Women in 2002 and Shoot 'Em Up in 2007. Jonathan Tucker plays Matthew, with Emmanuelle Chriqui, James DeBello, Katherine Heigl, Larisa Oleynik and Jaime Pressly among the cast. The production involved 69 credited cast members and 70 credited crew, and runs 95 minutes.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb the film holds 5.8 out of 10 from around 24,000 votes, and on TMDB it also sits at 5.8 out of 10, from roughly 500 votes. A small sample of critics rated it 5.9 out of 10, close to the audience scores.
