Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind is an animated action fantasy film set in a world where the power-hungry Kano and his Black Dragon clan move from town to town, demanding submission from each population they encounter. A young warrior named Kenshi refuses to kneel, and when Kano's forces strike, he loses both his sight and his confidence. Taken in by Kuai Liang, a former warrior who has turned his back on fighting, Kenshi trains under a reluctant teacher who recognizes that the young man may be the only one capable of standing against Kano. The film follows Kenshi's effort to overcome his own limitations while Kuai Liang wrestles with whether to take up arms again.

The film is directed by Rick Morales, whose earlier work consists largely of animated LEGO superhero and Scooby-Doo features, followed by two Batman animated films. It is the eighth film he directed, arriving in 2022. Jeremy Adams wrote the screenplay, and Rick Morales and Jim Krieg produced. Manny Jacinto voices Kenshi, David Wenham voices Kano, and Patrick Seitz voices Scorpion. The cast also includes Artt Butler, Yuri Lowenthal and Sumalee Montano.

The film runs 82 minutes and was released in October 2022. On IMDb it holds a 6.7 rating from roughly 4,700 votes, while on TMDB it has a 7.7 rating from about 246 votes, indicating a smaller but more enthusiastic audience there. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
